About

Vermont Native Justice is committed to helping native people in Vermont, especially those not connected to the “Abenaki Alliance”, express their viewpoints. It attempts to present an objective view of native politics within the state of Vermont.  There are no guarantees though on objectivity as each subject differs in nature.

  1. I think this blog has good intentions. Thank you…

  2. I just read the minutes from the November 16th meeting. If there is testimony and discussion at the “pre-meeting” potluck meeting, then why isn’t that made public?? Is it just another attempt to endrun the public and play it close to the vest? I think so. I wonder what kind of “testimony” was given by those in attendance….

  3. Good question!

I will ask the state if this is necessary or not since it’s possible that it might not be part of the new commission’s protocol.

  4. I have heard from Diane McInerney that this is not the case.

I doubt that there was any testimony in the first place. I think that the only way a problem could arise is if the commission decided to use this testimony to determine recognition.

  5. It is my understanding that the meeting that Tiotwoman is on target with the question about the discussions and talk that went on during the Potluck. It seems that this VCNAA Commission being as partial as it is to the so-called Alliance, they tolerate much more things happening before and after their meetings as what would be called “Understandings”, that prior VCNAA Commissions did not.

How true this is, I am not sure because I was not there for the meeting because I will not dishonor, disgrace, compromise or prostitute my heritage, culture or traditions nor my ancestors by being anywhere near, next to or int the area where Nancy(Lyons) Doucet may be at or in.

I have no doubt that more then likely these so called “Understandings” are standard whenever it involves Miss Doucet and the groups of the so-called Alliance, knowing the lies, and all of the other shenanigans that she has pulled over the years and knowing her vicious temper and disposition for any opposition to he dictatorial ways.

At least I can prove who I am which so many of us know that she can’t, and that is wjy she does not want it revealed, as well as she and the majority og her group are not Vermonters but residents og NH from the Haverthill-Bath-Littleton and surrounding area and a couple from Newbury and most of them are not actually Vt residents, the last I knew. Again the reason why she does not want anything made known about her group, to being made public..

    Respectfully Yours,

  6. Perhaps someone should attend these “potluck pre-meetings” and report on what is discussed in the interest of transparency?

  7. Kwai Kwai and Good Afternoon,

The 16 Nov 2010 VCNAA meeting in Newport WAS filmed and I have just been able to get a couple of DVD copy of that meeting. Later today or tomorrow, I will be sitting down long enough to watch the proceedings, to include Ms Doucet’s protests for Privacy for her so-called “Tribal Rolls” which she knows will do her and her group of “Wanna-bees” to be “flushed down the drain” PDQ!. Some one local said a couple of snippets of the Pot Luck time were also caught on the taping. We will find out when I watch the DVD record of the said meeting. I hope that just maybe some little bit might have been caught so that we have an idea of what went on during that phase of the meeting as well.. If there was anything that should not have been, I will let the Administrator of this site know and he can take it from there if that is acceptable to him.

    Respectfully Yours,

Howard F. Knight Jr. has already dishonored, disgraced, compromised or prostituted his alleged and re-invented heritage, culture or traditions of his ancestors! I got the documents now that PROVE this. This man is a complete FRAUD right along with Nancy and the rest of these Incorporations! Howard can supposedly prove who he is. Doucet and him were working with each other for years. 2 or 3 at least when S.117 was going through the Legislative process. His response on this blog, is sickeningly hypocritical and blatant lie!

  9. Hello,
My name is Haley Russo and I am an alumni of The Rutland High School Raiders in Rutland, VT. I’m sure you may have heard about the recent BOE decision to change the schools logo and name as they claim it is racist and those of us who support the Raider name and logo are called white supremacists. I have formed a group on FB called “I Am a Rutland Raider” and we are trying to get the decision reversed. It certainly would be wonderful to hear your stance on this and perhaps gain your support. I can be contacted at wynninggraphics@gmail.com or 802-345-1921
